Emily Kuder receives the Ray Harris Hispanic Linguistics Award

Emily Kuder, doctoral candidate in Spanish Linguistics, received the Ray Harris Hispanic Linguistics Award in May of this year. This award was created in memory of the late Professor Ray Harris, dear colleague and esteemed Professor of Spanish linguistics in our department from 1993 to 2009. The original donors established the award in order to "recognize outstanding graduate students in or entering the MA or PhD program in Hispanic linguistics in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese." Emily has consistently shown academic excellence as both a student and a researcher in the department, clearly demonstrating the scholarly achievement that the Ray Harris Hispanic Linguistics Award seeks to honor.
