Andrea Sánchez Vicente awarded the Ray Harris Hispanic Linguistics Scholarship

Andrea Sánchez Vicente, student in the doctoral program in Spanish Linguistics, was awarded the Ray Harris Hispanic Linguistics Scholarship in April of this academic year (2016/2017). This scholarship was created in memory of the late Professor Ray Harris, dear colleague and esteemed Professor of Spanish linguistics in our department from 1993 to 2009. The original donors established the scholarship in order to "recognize outstanding graduate students in or entering the MA or PhD program in Hispanic linguistics in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese." Andrea is a top-notch student, a promising researcher, and a most deserving recipient of the Ray Harris Hispanic Linguistics Scholarship.
