Nicole Fadellin is a PhD Candidate in Latin American Literature with a graduate certificate in Public Humanities. Her dissertation examines representations of infrastructure within contemporary Caribbean culture, specifically, how infrastructure is portrayed as a material thing that engages the senses as well as a metaphor tied to broader themes affecting the region, such as modernization, colonialism, and sovereignty. Additional research interests include Contemporary Latin American Literature, Caribbean Studies, Theater and Performance, Decolonial Theory, Afro-Latinx and Indigenous Studies, and Gender and LGBTQ studies.
