Andrea Sánchez Vicente
Andrea is a Spanish PhD candidate with a concentration in linguistics. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Spanish Language and Literature and in Classical Languages and Literatures from the Universidad de Valladolid in Spain, her hometown university. She also holds an MA in Spanish Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her dissertation studies the linguistic varieties and variation employed in a corpus of 17th-century letters written by four Dutch merchants. Her areas of interest include Historical Sociolinguistics, Linguistic Variation and Change, Historical Linguistics, and Critical Sociolinguistics.
