Gloria Morales Osorio Joins the Rare Book Society – Andrew W. Mellon Society of Fellows in Critical Bibliography

headshot: Gloria Morales OsorioThe Department of Spanish & Portuguese is delighted to announce that one of our PhD candidates, Gloria J. Morales Osorio, has been selected to join the Rare Book Society – Andrew W. Mellon Society of Fellows in Critical Bibliography. During 2022-2024, Gloria will be one of ten junior fellows, a group that includes both graduate students and junior faculty. The Rare Book Society defines its mission as that of “advancing the study of texts, images, and artifacts as material objects through capacious, interdisciplinary scholarship, and enriching humanistic inquiry and education by identifying, mentoring, and training promising early-career scholars.” In her dissertation, Gloria studies the book series Biblioteca Popular de Cultura Colombiana (1942–1952) and Biblioteca de Autores Colombianos (1952–1958).
