Andrés Correal
Position title: Spanish 203 Teaching Assistant
William Andrés Córdoba Correal graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Bilingual Education from Institución Universitaria Colombo Americana – ÚNICA, and a master’s degree in Spanish teaching from Northern Arizona University. He has taught English to teenagers, adults, and children in Colombia, as well as Spanish at US universities. He began teaching Spanish in the US after being selected as a Fulbright recipient, and he fell in love with teaching Spanish.
His research interests include instructed second language acquisition, teachers’ and students’ self-efficacy, heritage speaker pedagogy and research, language ideologies and attitudes, bilingualism, and the acquisition of the preterite and imperfect tenses. He prefers to be called Andrés Correal.
