Levi Cross is a PhD student of Portuguese studying contemporary Brazilian literature and culture. He is currently a Teaching Assistant for Latin American, Caribbean and Iberian Studies: Introduction to Latin America (LACIS 260) and has taught Portuguese language classes (Portuguese 101 and 102). He holds a MA in Portuguese from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2020). He earned a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2018) with a double major in Portuguese and Latin American, Caribbean and Iberian Studies. He is an Editorial Assistant for the Luso-Brazilian Review. He also serves as an elected Student Representative on the Graduate Student Committee for the Department of Spanish & Portuguese. His research interests include: Contemporary Brazilian Literature and Culture, Transatlantic Studies, Gender and Queer Studies, Disability Studies, and Visual Culture.
