I am a passionate and experienced language tutor with a strong academic background and a proven record of teaching at both university and K–12 levels. Currently pursuing a PhD in Spanish Linguistics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, I also hold a Master of Arts in Linguistics and a Master of Education with endorsements in Spanish, Italian, and French. Fluent in Spanish, Italian, and French, I bring a multilingual perspective and deep cultural insight to my lessons. My approach is student-centered, engaging, and adaptable, helping learners of all levels achieve confidence and fluency in their target language.

I have taught Spanish A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 at the Autonomous University of The Yucatan, and I am currently an instructor of Spanish 102 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Hola, ¿qué tal? My name is Estefanía Galindo, and I am from Barranquilla, Colombia. I am a PhD Candidate in Spanish Linguistics. I hold an M.A. in Spanish Linguistics from UW– Madison and a bachelor’s degree in teaching foreign languages (French, German, and English) from Universidad del Atlántico, Colombia. In addition, I completed a diploma course in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign/Second Language. I have been teaching languages since 2016 in public and private universities as well as in high schools. I have also tutored students of all ages—children, young learners, and adults—both online and in person. Along with online tutoring, I offer support with any kind of exam preparation such as OPI/DELE, translation services, travel readiness, conversational practice, and other customized needs. ¡Muy buenas! My name is Annika Wallander, and I am excited to guide your learning and practice of your Spanish! I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Biology and Spanish from St. Norbert College, and I studied abroad in Toledo, Spain in the Fall of 2018. I found an amazing community in El Ejido, Spain where I moved to and lived in 2019-2020. I taught as an English as a second language teacher to people of all ages, from children in primary school to private lessons with adults. This inspired me to get my Master’s in Spanish linguistics, which I graduated from in 2022. Ever since this experience of immense learning, my Spanish has been a token of my daily life: reading, speaking with friends, watching series, in my cuisine and in my
travels. I am dedicated to mission of creating accessibility of learning the Spanish language, and language in general, so that persons of all affiliations can have the opportunity to learn it. I currently teach Spanish 101 as a teaching assistant; however, I am well-traveled and skilled in many aspects of language learning, and I am excited to help you reach your goals in test/exam prep, conversation, translation, grammar topics, essays, and more. With over seven years of teaching experience, I have taught Spanish at all levels. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Latin American Literature at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and I hold a Master’s in Advanced Literary Studies from the University of Barcelona and a Master’s in Political Journalism and Cultural Analysis from Universidad Antonio Ruiz de Montoya.
