¿De qué casa eres?
(Where Do You Call Home?)
“Where do you call home?” was the question repeatedly asked by the nearly 3,000 Spanish children exiled in the Soviet Union due to the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). This is the story of one of those children, Angelita Perez, who lived from the age of 4 to 24 in boarding schools in Russia until finishing her medical studies in Moscow.
It is a story of struggle, strength, resistance and courage, where there is talk of war, but above all of love, joy, family earning for home, lands, roots, seas, belonging and identity, in an interplay between the past and the present, world history and family and personal history.
